Environmentally Friendly Technologies

Who: Carl Mahoney, is an architect and an Urban and Environmental Planner. Whilst a consultant with the Tropical Advisory Service of London University's Development Studies Unit, he wrote a manual for the United Nations Centre for Housing, Building and Planning on Climate and Housing.

The book outlined the principles of thermal design for buildings in hot climates and describes a meathodology which enables housing designers, in devoloping countries, to obtain design reccomendations, simply and directly, from climate information. This meathod became known as "The Mahoney Tables".

Carl's presentation will cover;

Carl believes that this information will be of great value today for anyone who is building/renovating their homes, or is involved in the eco-village concept and its principles.
