October 1996 Meeting

STEAM ENGINE TECHNOLOGY

Who: Ted Pritchard, A retired teacher of Mechanical and Marine Engineering.

What: The topic of this months meeting is titled "Steam Engine Technology"

Ted has worked on and submitted several papers on steam engine technology to the USA Senate Hearings on Steam Cars and the Australian Senate Standing Committee on National Resources.

He is currently working on a stationary steam engine that will use local fuel products and have ultra low emissions.

Ted's focus for the eveneing will be on the following areas;

• The benifits and reasons for using advanced steam engines for some applications.
• A brief history of Pritchard developments and achievements.
• Possibilites and projects for the future.

An opportunity to get some straight answers to your Steamy questions!! Definitely, a night not to be missed.
