'Radio Astronomy & Jupiter Radio Emissions'
Who: Lockie Creswell & Clint Jeffrey
Lockie, is a Physicist/Geologist who has spent 23 years working in a scientific laboratory measuring all manner of forces. He is a member of the AstronomicalSociety of Victoria (ASV) Radio Astronomy Division, and is currently involved in the construction and installation of equipment associated with ASV's 5 Metre Dish at Officer in Victoria.
Clint, has been an Amateur Radio Operator since the age of 16 and an Amateur Radio Astronomer since joining ASV's Radio Astronomy Group 10 years ago. He has conducted radio observations of Jupiter on various frequencies.
Radio Astronomy is the observation and study of radio emmissions from astronomical bodies. These radio emmissions may be caused by an extremely wide range of physical events occurring on those bodies in the space between them and us.
What: The evenings presentation will focus on;

Where: At Balwyn Library 336 Whitehorse Road, Balwyn. Melway Reference Map 46 E8 (next to McDonalds). Entry via the side door.
